Theatre Arts
The Theatre Arts program offers interested students an opportunity to develop in the performing arts. These arts include acting, speaking, oral interpretation, stage management, set design, stagecraft, costumes and make-up. The extra-curricular program presents a play in the fall and a musical each spring. The extra-curricular program is available via audition to all students attending St. Paul.

Clue: On Stage! Auditions
St. Paul High School announces our fall production of Clue: On Stage!
Kicking off our 2023 Season is the classic campy romp penned as a stage adaptation of the legendary film by Jonathan Lynn!
Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery. The tale begins at a remote mansion, where six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. Led by Wadsworth – the butler, Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Colonel Mustard race to find the killer as the body count stacks up. Clue is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out…WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!
If you're interested in auditioning for Clue: On Stage! and being a part of the Extra-Curricular Theatre program, then now is your chance.
Auditions are Thursday, August 31st and Friday, September 1st in Room 501 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
Those interested should come prepared to read in front of the director, and alongside others auditioning. A one minute-monologue performance is optional, but will be considered in the case of actors seeking leads.
Callbacks if required will be on Monday, September 4th and a production meeting will take place on Thursday, September 7th at 3:00 PM.
Rehearsals begin Thursday, September 7th at 4:00 PM in room 501

Middletown Auditions
St. Paul High School announces our fall production of Middletown!
Kicking off our 2023 Season is the contemporary dramedy masterwork by Will Eno!
Middletown is a deeply moving and funny play exploring the universe of a small American town. As a friendship develops between longtime resident John Dodge and new arrival Mary Swanson, the lives of the inhabitants of Middletown intersect in strange and poignant ways in a journey that takes them from the local library to outer space and points between.
If you're interested in auditioning for Middletown and being a part of the Extra-Curricular Theatre program, then now is your chance.
Auditions begin July 6th in the Media Center from 1:30 PM until 4:00 PM, and will continue every school day until July 8th.
A second week of auditions has been added for the week of July 25th, in the Media Center from 1:30 to 3:00 PM.
Those interested should come prepared to read in front of the director, and alongside others auditioning. A one minute-monologue performance is encouraged, but not necessary.
Callbacks and a production meeting will take place on July 11th at 2:00 PM.
