Student volunteers participate in community service at Cesar Chavez Foundation

St. Paul High School is proud to announce the community service of more than 20 students that volunteered for the Cesar Chavez Foundation Day of Service. The student volunteers and chaperones all boarded a bus early morning on Wednesday, March 9 to travel to Keene, CA, which is where the Cesar Chavez Foundation is located. Students were able to visit the Cesar Chavez House and learn about his pastime.

“This was a great opportunity to learn about the determination and commitment Cesar Chavez had.” Principal Kate Aceves,” It is a wonderful and humble experience for our students to serve and learn about the history of Cesar Chavez.”

Students participated in a site cleanup and helped by picking up trash, sweeping and field maintenance. Students returned later that day.
