1) HISPANIC SCHOLARSHIP FUND SCHOLARSHIPS--Deadline: February 15, 2020
Graduating seniors of Hispanic heritage who have a minimum unweighted total GPA of 3.0 or higher and plan to attend a four-year university this fall may apply for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund's Scholarships.  No recommendations or essays are required for the first phase of the scholarship application, which will take under one hour to complete.  Apply online at https://www.hsf.net/scholarship  This outstanding scholarship opportunity for students of Hispanic ethnicity will end on February 15.  
2) NATIONAL CHARITY LEAGUE SCHOLARSHIP--Deadline: February 28, 2020
This scholarship is open to senior girls of strong academic achievement who have contributed to their community by volunteering.  Girls must live within one of the following cities: Whittier, La Habra, La Habra Heights, La Mirada, or Hacienda Heights. There will be several awards given in the amount of $1,000 or more. The most important consideration the student's community service record.  Applications are available in the Guidance Office.  

3) ASIAN PACIFIC FUND SCHOLARSHIPS--Deadline: February 27, 2020

Nine scholarships are available, each with unique eligibility criteria. Students must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA and be a US citizen.  Students of any ethnic background may apply, but there are some scholarships specifically for students of Filipino/Asian heritage.  Scholarship amounts range from $1,000 to $20,000, and many are renewable. Scholarship flyers are available in the Guidance Office. You may also refer to this website: www.asianpacificfund.org/scholarships  
 
 
4) CABRILLO CIVIC CLUB SCHOLARSHIP--Application Deadline: March 15, 2020
The Cabrillo Civic Club of California is offering $500 scholarships to students of Portuguese descent who are also a US citizen or permanent resident of the US.  Applicants should have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and active in extra curricular activities.

5) ITALIAN CATHOLIC FEDERATION SCHOLARSHIP--Application Deadline: March 15, 2020
Seniors who are Roman Catholic and of Italian descent, who have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Application is available in the Guidance Office.
 
 
6) HEARTHSTONE HOUSING FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP--Application Deadline: March 31, 2020
The Hearthstone Housing Foundation, a local, non-profit organization, is offering scholarship assistance in funding higher education for students, focusing on those coming from low income households. Scholarship awards range from $500 to $5,000.  Minimum cumulative weighted GPA is 3.0There are multiple scholarships awards given.   More detailed info can be found on the Hearthstone Foundation website:  https://www.hearthstonehousing.org/scholarship     
 
 
7) GUARANTEED" SCHOLARSHIPS--Varying Deadlines
The website featured here offers info on "guaranteed" scholarships.  These scholarships are guaranteed by nearly 100 colleges to students who meet the individual listed criteria for each, and commit to attending the particular college/university...  No essays, projects, recommendations or other secondary criteria are required.
